AviX was founded by Bob Grey in 2015. Bob observed the rapid development of modern air battle tactics and technologies, and recognized that current industry subject matter expertise, built from experience in legacy weapon systems, could not adequately support the development of next generation tactics, training and weapons systems for the warfighter. Leveraging his 25 years of active Air Force and Air National Guard experience, with over 11 years in the F-22 community, Bob provides customers in government and industry highly qualified expertise in the F-22 and F-35 as well as in ISR DCGS intelligence and cyber arenas.

Bob Grey is a graduate of the Air Force Academy, with a Master’s degree from Harvard’s Kennedy School. He has over 3500 flying hours in the F-22, F-16, F-15, C-141 and C-26 with combat experience in Afghanistan and Iraq. He is a former F-22 Wing Commander, Maintenance Group Commander and Air Expeditionary Task Force Deputy Commander who still actively serves in a part-time capacity as a Brigadier General in the Virginia Air National Guard.
